This is the Preferred Legal Plan - benefit available to you.
Basically, it is a way to have your own attorney on retainer for you and your family; because if you ever have a question, a problem, an issue or anything that you want to talk to an attorney about, it's just a phone call away with this program. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access for you. You just pick up the phone and speak freely with the attorneys for unlimited legal advice absolutely free with your membership. So you know that you can always have your questions answered.
In addition to that, if you have any paperwork or documents, or if somebody wants you to sign a contract, maybe a lease on a new car or an apartment, a contract on a new home, a cell phone contract, gym contract . . . anything. Send it over to them. Allow them to review it for you. Read the terms, read the fine print, make sure you're not getting into a bad deal, etcetera. That is also free with your membership.
In addition to that, if you find yourself in a situation where you feel like you're being taken advantage of or you're having a dispute with someone. Some common examples are: maybe you hire somebody to do some work for you, maybe around your house, and the work is not done properly; maybe you purchase a product from someone and they give you some type of a warranty or guarantee on it and then they won't honor it; you take your car to the mechanic and it's not fixed properly. You don't have to put up with it any longer, because with this program they will write letters and make phone calls on your behalf to that other party, and I'm sure you know how effective a certified letter from an attorney's office can be. Now let's take the last example, which is if you have a problem that gets to the point where you might require "formal" attorney representation - you might need an attorney to go to court for you on something or to prepare legal documents for you. In that case they refer you to a local attorney in their network, someone close to your home or office that's an expert in the area of law that you need help with. You'll arrange to meet with that attorney for a free consultation and YOU'LL decide if you want to move forward with representation. If you do then the attorney will represent you at a discounted price because you're a member of this program, so you will save 40%-70% on legal fees when you need representation.
Now let me ask you, how much to do you think an attorney would charge for a monthly retainer to be available for all the different types of services we just talked about? Most attorneys charge on average $150 an hour. So it can be quite expensive.
